- Ask questions about care, safety, and daily routines
You also have the right to access information about complaints or licensing history for licensed childcare programs.
Licensing and complaint information is public and available through the California Community Care Licensing Division by calling 844-538-8766 or visiting their website. You may also use this number to report a concern about a licensed facility.

What financial assistance programs am I eligible for?
Some families may qualify for childcare subsidies that reduce the cost of care.
When you complete the eligibility check, the platform will show programs you may qualify for and guide you through next steps.
What is subsidized childcare?
Subsidized childcare helps cover the cost of care for eligible families. Qualification is based on factors like income, family size, and need.
Families referred through Child Protective Services may receive priority.
How do I qualify for subsidized child care?
Eligibility is based on three main factors:
- Your gross monthly income (before taxes)
- Your family size
- Your need for care
Families must also live in San Diego County.
Some families may be categorically eligible if they participate in certain public programs, including:
- Medi-Cal
- CalFresh (SNAP)
- California Food Assistance Program (CFAP)
- WIC
- Head Start or Early Head Start
- Federal Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
- Other qualifying programs
